Body camera footage released of Rochester police officer involved shooting on Christmas Eve

Rochester New York Mayor Malik Evans released a statement following the Officer involved shooting on Christmas Eve.
“The officer-involved shooting on Christmas Eve was a tragedy for our city. One person lost his life and other lives were changed forever.”
This is after Rochester police confirmed the suspect that was kill was holding a replica handgun, which is designed to look like a firearm but is not a workable firearm.
Rochester Police said the deceased individual was known to police. Rochester Police Chief said David Smith Rochester Police Officers are trained to “fire until the threat ceases” and to “fire in groups, assess, and then fire again.”
The suspect was identified as 46-year-old Todd
Novick is had an extensive criminal history.
The two officers involved in this shooting are on paid leave. It's a protocol to put police officers on leave anytime an incident like this occurs in Rochester.
