Kansas City firefighters cut open portable toilet to free trapped man

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Emergency responders in Kansas City were called to a highly unusual scene on Tuesday after a man became trapped inside the holding tank of a portable toilet.
The incident occurred near East 17th Street and The Paseo, where Kansas City firefighters responded to reports of an individual stuck inside a porta-potty.
First responders arrived on the scene to find the man trapped beneath the unit's seat. To free him, crews had to use a saw to carefully cut open the plastic structure of the portable restroom.
Firefighters successfully extricated the man from the holding tank. No major injuries were reported following the rescue.
The circumstances surrounding how the man became trapped inside the toilet tank remain unclear.
