ABC brings thousands together at Parcel 5 for annual Community Action Day celebration
ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Thousands of Rochester-area

families, community leaders, and local residents gathered at Parcel 5 in downtown Rochester today for Action for a Better Community, Inc.’s (ABC) 2026 Community Action Day Celebration.
The annual event transformed East Main Street into a bustling hub of support, connecting residents directly with dozens of community organizations and essential local service providers.
Attendees accessed a wide range of free community resources and on-site services, including:
* Health, Housing & Education: Healthcare connections with Rochester Regional Health, Jordan Health, and Wilmot Cancer Institute, along with housing guidance from PathStone.
* Workforce & Financial Support: Employment assistance, public safety resources, and financial literacy information.
* On-Site Mobile Units: Mobile library services, mammography units, Foodlink food distribution trucks, and City/County outreach vehicles.
* Family Entertainment: Live musical performances, youth dance showcases, face painting, raffles, and local mascot appearances.
Community Action Day highlights ABC’s ongoing mission as a Community Action Agency dedicated to empowering low-income individuals and families across Rochester and Monroe County.
