ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Local labor union members, community organizations, and area residents gathered in downtown Rochester today, Monday, September 7th, to celebrate the annual Rochester Labor Day Parade.

Organized by the Rochester Labor Council (AFL-CIO) and affiliated regional labor organizations, the parade stepped off at 11:00 AM from the intersection of East Avenue and Alexander Street. Marchers processed west down East Main Street before concluding at Main and St. Paul Street.

Hundreds of workers representing local trade unions, municipal staff, educators, and service workers joined the procession to honor the contributions of organized labor to the Rochester region.

Following the conclusion of the march, attendees gathered at Innovative Field for a post-parade Labor Day celebration featuring a community picnic, live music, and family activities ahead of the afternoon Red Wings game.
