ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Rochester Fire Department personnel responded to reports of a residential structure fire on Ridgeway Avenue near Daisy Street at approximately 4:00 PM today.

First-arriving fire companies encountered a heavy fire condition, with visible smoke and flames pouring from both the upper and lower levels of the home.

Fire crews quickly stretched hose lines to initiate an interior attack and contain the spread of the flames. Ladder companies assisted on scene by opening up upper sections of the residence to vent trapped smoke and heat.

Search teams swept the property, and fire officials confirmed that no injuries were reported among residents or responding firefighters.

Crews remained on scene to check for hidden hot spots within the walls and secure the structure.

The cause and origin of the fire remain under active investigation by Rochester fire investigators.

GSL News will continue tracking updates from the Rochester Fire Department and provide further details as official reports are released.
