Ambulance involved in two-vehicle collision on West Broad Street; investigation underway

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Emergency responders and Rochester Police officers responded to reports of a motor vehicle accident involving an ambulance on West Broad Street at approximately 8:25 PM on Friday.
The collision occurred at the intersection of West Broad Street and Campbell Street in the city's Westside neighborhood.
First responders arrived on scene to secure the area, direct traffic around the intersection, and evaluate individuals involved in the crash for injuries.
Authorities confirmed that both the driver of the ambulance and the driver of the second vehicle remained on scene following the impact to cooperate with responding officers.
Police closed down sections of the intersection temporarily while crews worked to clear debris and document the scene. The exact cause and circumstances leading up to the collision remain under investigation by the Rochester Police Department.
