Built From Chaos and Studio Blends host community back-to-school giveaway on Lake Avenue
ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Local organizations and businesses joined forces today, Monday, August 31, for the "Built From Chaos Back-to-School Giveaway" at Studio Blends, located at 4470 Lake Avenue.
Running from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM, the community event was created to support Rochester students and ease the financial pressure on local families as the new academic year approaches.
Families visiting the event received a full afternoon of free resources and activities, including:
* Free bookbags fully stocked with essential classroom supplies
* Complimentary haircuts provided on-site for youth
* Free pizza and refreshments for attendees
The giveaway was powered by a coalition of local business partners and community sponsors, including Built From Chaos, PaneVino on the Avenue, Chopped, Daisy ThaDuke, Tandoi Asphalt, and Luisito's Pizzeria.
Organizers underscored their shared mission of "Building a Stronger Community Together," emphasizing the positive impact of local leaders uniting to help students start the school year equipped for success.
