Firefighters extinguish evening house fire on Arvine Street; no injuries reported

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Rochester Fire Department crews responded to reports of a house fire on Arvine Street at approximately 8:20 PM on Wednesday.

First arriving firefighters encountered visible smoke and flames coming from the residence and immediately launched an interior attack. Crews worked efficiently to contain the blaze, bringing the fire under control in about 30 minutes and preventing extensive damage to surrounding properties.

Firefighters conducted searches inside the home and confirmed that no residents or first responders were injured.

The cause and origin of the fire remain under investigation by Rochester Fire Department officials.
