Pop Style International and Legislator Rose Bonnick host Customer Appreciation & Back to School Event at School No. 19

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Local Jamaican restaurant Pop Style International joined forces with District 27 Monroe County Legislator Rose Bonnick to host a Customer Appreciation Day and community Back to School event at Dr. Loretta Johnson School No. 19 on Genesee Street, near Dr. Samuel McCree Way.
The gathering brought together neighborhood families, students, and local leaders to celebrate the community and support students ahead of the upcoming school year.
Monroe County Executive Adam Bello and Rochester Mayor Malik Evans were also in attendance, joining Legislator Bonnick and Pop Style organizers to connect with residents and distribute supplies.
Attendees at the event benefited from a range of free offerings, including:
* Free backpacks filled with essential school supplies
* Complimentary food served by Pop Style International to local families
* On-site community resource tables offering family support services and local youth programming
Event organizers and attending officials highlighted the importance of local businesses giving back to ease the financial strain on families while providing safe, engaging events for neighborhood youth.
