Woman stable after shooting on West Main; police investigate simultaneous reports of armed male outside

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Rochester Police officers responded to emergency calls reporting a violent domestic dispute and shooting near the intersection of Canal Street and West Main Street at approximately 9:30 PM on Saturday.
Upon arrival, emergency personnel located an adult female suffering from a gunshot wound. First responders provided immediate medical care before she was transported to a local hospital, where officials confirm she is in stable condition.
Simultaneously, 911 dispatchers received high-priority reports of an armed male seen running outside in the immediate vicinity of the scene. Police units established a perimeter to search for the subject, collect physical evidence, and speak with potential witnesses.
No suspects have been taken into custody, and law enforcement has not yet released formal suspect descriptions.
