Man hospitalized following stabbing and large altercation at East Main and Mustard Streets

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Rochester Police officers responded to a violent incident at the intersection of East Main Street and Mustard Street following a flood of emergency calls reporting a fight in progress.
Emergency dispatch centers received over a dozen 911 calls regarding an altercation at the location. When officers arrived on scene, they discovered a male victim suffering from a stab wound to his upper body.
First responders immediately rendered aid before emergency medical personnel transported the victim to Strong Memorial Hospital, where he remains listed in critical condition.
Police cordoned off the intersection to search for evidence, interview witnesses, and canvas local businesses for video footage.
No suspect descriptions have been released, and no individuals have been taken into custody at this time.
