Man pronounced dead following Hague Street shooting; road closed for investigation

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Rochester Police officers responded to reports of a shooting on the 300 block of Hague Street at approximately 2:15 PM today.
Upon arrival, first responders located an adult male victim suffering from gunshot wounds in the backyard of a residential property. Emergency medical personnel evaluated the victim on scene, where he was pronounced dead.
Investigating officers located multiple shell casings in a nearby driveway and immediately established a wide crime scene perimeter. Specialized units, including Crime Scene Investigation (CSI) technicians and the RPD Command Van, were requested to process physical evidence.
Law enforcement officials indicate that Hague Street in the immediate area will remain blocked off to vehicular and pedestrian traffic for the next few hours while detectives and technicians conduct their investigation.
No suspects have been taken into custody at this time.
