Man treated following upper body stabbing near Family Dollar on Dewey Avenue

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Rochester Police officers responded to reports of a violent altercation and stabbing on Dewey Avenue near the Family Dollar store at approximately 1:30 PM today.

Upon arrival, emergency personnel located a male victim suffering from a stab wound to his upper body. First responders immediately rendered medical aid to the victim directly at the scene.

Police secured the immediate area, cordoning off portions of the sidewalk and parking access while officers searched for physical evidence and interviewed witnesses.

No suspect descriptions have been released by law enforcement, and no arrests have been made at this time.
