Operation Caring Hearts distributes over 200 bookbags at Gates Memorial Park giveaway

GATES, N.Y. — Local non-profit Operation Caring Hearts hosted a community Back-to-School Bookbag Giveaway today from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Gates Memorial Park, located at 160 Spencerport Road.

Organizers successfully distributed over 200 backpacks stocked with essential school supplies to students ahead of the upcoming academic year.

In addition to the backpack distribution, youth and families attending the event were provided with several free resources, including:

* Free haircuts for students

* Free drinks and snacks

* Classroom supplies donated by local community members

Operation Caring Hearts, known for supporting homeless individuals and veterans across the Rochester area, organized the effort to help prepare local children for a brighter future and ensure every student starts the school year strong.
